Tax Credits
These government programs are designed to encourage energy-efficient products and can provide you with additional incentives that add up to major savings. The US government offers tax credits for central cooling systems with a SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) of 16 or higher.
- Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit (25C) offers a tax credit for making energy efficient home improvements, specifically heat pumps, central air conditioning systems and furnaces through 2032
- High Efficiency Electric Home Rebate Program (HEEHRP) offers low- to moderate-income (LMI) households a rebate to switch to electric home appliances and systems
